Creation of District
In accordance with section 189.074, Florida Statutes, the North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District, located in Collier County, was created on January 1, 2015, through the voluntary merger of the Big Corkscrew Island Fire Control and Rescue District and the North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District, with such merger approved at referendum by the electors of each district on November 4, 2014. Chapter 2015-191, Laws of Florida, is the District’s unified charter.
