Where are crowd managers required?
In accordance with the Florida Fire Prevention Code, including 2012 NFPA 101 Life Safety Code Sections 220.127.116.11/18.104.22.168, establishments with an occupant load of at least 50 people shall have at least one trained crowd manager or crowd manager supervisor. When the occupant load exceeds 250 people, the establishment must provide additional trained crowd managers or crowd supervisors at a ratio of one for every 250 occupants. This includes establishments for deliberation, worship, eating, entertainment, eating, drinking, amusement, awaiting transportation or similar uses, or used as a special amusement building.
Who needs to attend?
All businesses and places of assembly shall have a crowd manager on duty when 50 or more people are in attendance.
What is the purpose of a crowd manager?
A crowd manager ensures that everyone entering an establishment stays safe!
