QUESTIONS REGARDING THE EXPLORER PROGRAM?
Fire & Emergency Service Career Exploring is open to young men and women in high school with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of Fire & Emergency services. This program will be hands-on, real world application of an exciting career field, and will meet twice per month starting in December. Participants will gain career workplace experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service activities. The primary goals of the program are to help young adults choose a career path within the fire and emergency services while challenging them to become responsible citizens of their community and country.
The most popular Fire & Emergency Services Exploring careers include: Firefighters, Paramedics, Emergency Technicians, Ambulance Corps., Search & Rescue Service, and Forest Firefighters.
You will experience firsthand through the twice per month meetings what it is like to be a firefighter and emergency service provider through firefighting training & other exciting hands-on activities.
You will develop Leadership skills and new personal skills.
You will learn Emergency call protocols, firefighting policies & procedures, team building and proper equipment usage.
You will have an opportunity to participate in Firefighting training scenarios and learn first aid.
