Under the direction of Assistant Chief Eloy Ricardo and Fire Marshal Dale Fey, the division enlists the District’s All-Hazard response philosophy, understanding that quality, emergency service must possess a solid foundation of support to be rapid and efficient.
The Life Safety Team
Chief Ricardo and Fire Marshal Fey are supported by a team of Inspectors, Life Safety Plan Reviewers and Public Education Officers, all striving to ensure the public protection of life and property. Adopted Life Safety Codes provide for this public protection of life and property to be maintained during both emergent and non-emergent situations.
The Division also enlists the concept of Community Risk Reduction, the process of identifying and prioritizing local risks, followed by the integrated and strategic investment of resources (emergency response and prevention) to reduce their occurrence and impact to our valued community. The Community Risk Reduction process provides for the appropriate resources to be identified to match the emergency situation that may or has occurred.
