City of Naples Fire-Rescue has announced the passing of one of their own, Firefighter Anthony Christensen. Firefighter Christensen lost his battle from COVID-19 on August 4, 2020. He passed away in Orlando where he was hospitalized for the virus. North Collier Fire Rescue stands shoulder to shoulder with our brothers and sisters at City of Naples Fire-Rescue during this difficult time.

Naples Firefighter Loses Battle with Covid-19

Naples, FL – It is with a heavy heart and sadness that the City of Naples Fire-Rescue Department announces the loss of Firefighter Anthony “Tony” Christensen. Firefighter Christensen passed away on August 4th, 2020 after battling Covid-19 for more than 30 days. Tony served the citizens and visitors of Naples for 22+ years and truly made a difference, receiving multiple lifesaving awards. The arrangements have not yet been finalized but further announcements will be forthcoming.
