NORTH NAPLES, Fl.- A car crash sent one person to the hospital after it jumped a guardrail, flew over a canal partially landing in the water.

Battalion Chief John Stanfill says the car was turning left from Livingston Road onto Immokalee Road when another car traveling in the opposite direction took a right turn onto Immokalee Road. The two cars collided sending one flying over the guard rail and across the canal. The car flipped and landed with it’s back end partially in the canal water. Our crews found a victim trapped inside and used the Jaws of Life to cut the driver out of the car. They were transported to the hospital and considered a trauma alert.
