Ben Rohde

Assistant Chief Ben Rohde serves as Assistant Chief of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for the North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District, overseeing the District’s EMS Division. Since joining the District in 2016, Chief Rohde has applied an analytical and data-driven approach to ensure high-quality emergency medical training and clinical performance for more than 200 EMTs and Paramedics.

Chief Rohde began his career with the District as a Firefighter and later transitioned to the EMS Division to focus on emergency medical services. He advanced through the ranks, serving as EMS Lieutenant and EMS Captain prior to his appointment as Assistant Chief. In addition to leading EMS training initiatives, he manages all aspects of the District’s EMS program, including the development of EMS policies and standard operating procedures, medical protocols, skill competency standards, credentialing, and oversight of the District’s Field Training Preceptors.

Chief Rohde is an active member of the Collier County EMS Council and the Collier County EMS Training Committee, supporting coordination and consistency among emergency medical providers throughout Collier County. In recognition of his contributions to EMS education, he was named the Collier County Fire and EMS Chiefs’ Association Emergency Educator of Excellence in 2020.

Chief Rohde holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy.
