Ocean Rescue
North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District proudly provides professional lifeguard and aquatic safety services throughout our District through our Ocean Rescue Program.
Through an intergovernmental partnership with Collier County, the District provides lifeguard services at two aquatic facilities managed by Collier County Parks & Recreation:
On July 1, 2026, North Collier Fire Rescue expanded its Ocean Rescue Program to include lifeguard services at Vanderbilt Beach Public Access. Beach operations include a lifeguard tower at the Vanderbilt Beach turnaround and two additional lifeguard chairs located nearby at Beach Markers 28A and 29.
The District staffs full-time and part-time professional lifeguards who are trained to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies in both pool and open-water environments. In addition to emergency response, our lifeguards play an important role in drowning prevention, water safety education and helping residents and visitors make safer choices around the water.
As part of North Collier Fire Rescue's Emergency Response services, the Ocean Rescue Program reflects the District's ongoing commitment to protecting the residents and visitors who enjoy our area's pools and beaches.
