Deputy Chief Jorge Aguilera serves as Deputy Chief for the North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District, overseeing Emergency Medical Services, including patient transport operations.
Chief Aguilera has been involved in the delivery of emergency medical services in Collier County since 1985, beginning his career with Collier County Emergency Medical Services as a Paramedic. He advanced through the ranks, serving as Lieutenant Paramedic, Flight Medic, and ultimately Division Chief of Training.
In his current role, Chief Aguilera is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the District’s EMS program, including quality assurance and compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. He also provides leadership and coordination for training initiatives across both the District’s EMS and Operations Divisions.
Chief Aguilera serves as Chair of the North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District EMS Council and as EMS Section Representative for Southwest Florida with the Florida Fire Chiefs’ Association. In addition, he serves as a community member on the Physicians Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees and has previously served as Chair of the Collier County Injury Prevention Coalition.
Chief Aguilera holds an Associate in Science degree in Emergency Medical Technology from Edison State College and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Hodges University.
