About Operations

Our All-Hazards Emergency Response Approach
North Collier Fire Rescue serves a 264-square-mile service area that includes coastal and inland environments, as well as both urban and rural communities. In addition to serving District residents, the agency supports thousands of daily visitors, employees, and commuters who travel into the area for work, recreation, dining, and lodging.
Each year, North Collier Fire Rescue responds to more than 25,000 incidents across this diverse service area. Many of these responses require specialized training, advanced equipment, and coordinated operations with local, regional, and state partners.
This varied landscape and population demand a flexible, all-hazards operational approach. North Collier Fire Rescue maintains the capability to respond to a wide range of emergencies, including:
- Fire suppression for structures, vehicles and wildland incidents;
- Emergency medical services including advanced life support and ambulance transport;
- Motor vehicle crashes;
- Technical rescue, including confined space, structural collapse, high angle, and trench rescue;
- Hazardous materials and CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear Defense);
- Dive, beach and marine rescue;
- Lifeguard services at Collier County aquatic centers;

These partnerships include local hospitals, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Collier County Emergency Medical Services, Collier County Emergency Management, and neighboring fire-rescue agencies.
As risks and community needs evolve, the District continually evaluates and implements innovative strategies to strengthen preparedness and response capabilities.
To maintain continuous coverage, North Collier Fire Rescue operates on a three-shift schedule, ensuring emergency response services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week across the District.
