The Emergency Medical Services Rescue Division (EMS Rescue) of the North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District is dedicated to protecting and saving the lives of residents and visitors within District boundaries, as well as those in surrounding communities. Approximately 70 percent of the District’s emergency responses are medical in nature, highlighting the critical role EMS Rescue plays in meeting the community’s public safety and healthcare needs.
Operating as an integrated component of the District’s Fire and Rescue response system, the EMS Rescue division provides a comprehensive pre-hospital emergency medical program utilizing both fire engine companies and medic tescue (ambulance) units. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Paramedics are assigned across both apparatus types, allowing the District to match the appropriate resources to the patient’s medical needs. The nature and severity of the emergency determine whether an engine company and a medic rescue unit respond together or whether a medic rescue unit responds independently.
Patient care is provided by certified medical professionals who have successfully completed rigorous education and evaluation programs. All pre-hospital providers adhere to the standards established by their certifying agencies and operate under medical protocols authorized by the Collier County’s Medical Directors' Coalition.
Committed to excellence and professionalism, the EMS Rescue division works collaboratively with partner agencies that share common values and goals. Mutual respect, integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct form the foundation of these relationships. The Division embraces diversity in ideas, cultures, and backgrounds, recognizing that these perspectives strengthen our organization and support the effective delivery of emergency medical services to our community.
