Sean Lintz

Assistant Chief Sean Lintz serves as the Assistant Chief of Life Safety and Fire Prevention and Fire Marshal for the North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District. In this role, he oversees the District’s Fire Plans Examiner Office and Life Safety and Fire Prevention Division as the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Through an interlocal agreement, he also serves as Fire Marshal and AHJ for life safety matters for the Immokalee Fire Control District.

The Life Safety and Fire Prevention Division provides a range of services that support community safety and growth management, including:

  • Plan review and inspections for new construction and existing buildings;

  • Fire hydrant installations and water supply coordination;

  • Business licensing inspections;

  • Special event permitting and inspections;

  • Fire investigations; and

  • Strategic planning and coordination with Collier County Growth Management.

Chief Lintz has served with the District since November 2006, beginning his career as a Fire Inspector and advancing through the ranks of Lieutenant, Captain, and Battalion Chief/Fire Marshal. In his current role, he works closely with Collier County officials, contractors, fire inspectors, and regional life safety agencies to prioritize the protection of life and property.

In addition to firefighter, fire inspector, and fire investigator certifications, Chief Lintz is certified in Community Risk Reduction and holds multiple leadership credentials. He serves as Vice President of the Collier County Fire Marshal Inspectors Association and is an active member of the Florida Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association, Florida Fire Chiefs Association, and the National Fire Protection Association.
