J. Christopher Lombardo

Mr. Lombardo brings decades of public service and fire commission experience to North Collier Fire. He previously served on the North Naples Fire Control and Rescue District Board of Fire Commissioners from 1998 to 2014, including many years as Chairman.

A partner with Woodward, Pires & Lombardo, P.A., Commissioner Lombardo has practiced as a Naples civil trial attorney for more than 30 years. He also served as City Attorney for Everglades City for 20 years.

Commissioner Lombardo has been deeply involved in the Naples community through extensive civic and charitable leadership. He served on the Friends of the Collier County Museum board for eight years, including five years as Chair, during which he led a $2.5 million capital campaign to expand the museum.

An Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), Lombardo has held numerous leadership roles, including Scoutmaster of Troop 2001, adviser to Venture Crew 2001, District Chairman of Scouting for Collier County, and past adviser to the Statewide Order of the Arrow. Earlier in his career, he served as a High Adventure Ranger for the BSA National High Adventure Programs.

Currently, Commissioner Lombardo serves as Chair of the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples, where he has championed the development of innovative programs and exhibits that encourage children’s engagement in art, science, and engineering.

He has also contributed his time as a volunteer auctioneer for a wide range of charitable organizations, including local arts associations, civic groups, educational institutions, and national health organizations. Through these efforts, he has helped raise more than $4 million for local charities.

In addition, Commissioner Lombardo has served the Florida Bar in several leadership capacities, including as a member of the Board of Governors; Chair of the 1999 Annual Meeting; Chair of the Gender Bias Commission; Chair of the Equal Opportunity Commission; a Governor on the Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors; Chair of the 20th Judicial Circuit Fee Arbitration Committee; and a member of the Special Committee to Study the Florida Constitution Amendment Process.

Commissioner Lombardo also played a key role in creating the opportunity for the District to merge with the Big Corkscrew Island Fire Control and Rescue District.
