The District is authorized to levy taxes and fees to support the services it provides. The statutory authority for the District's levy of taxes, fees, assessments, and charges is established in Chapter 2015-191, Laws of Florida (the District’s Enabling Legislation), and Chapters 189, 191, and 633, Florida Statutes.
